Meet Kona (Dog Parents: Nan x Tiny), Tiki (Dog Parents: Pepper x Oakley), and Capri! This trio from Westfield, Indiana, has plenty of personality to go around! Kona is the resident cuddle expert and proud big sister to Tiki, her partner in wrestling and crime. Then there is Capri, the Chihuahua big sister who helps keep this little crew in line (or at least tries to, haha!) I am best friends with both of my siblings. I am closest to Tiki, the other Aussie who rules the house. We are inseparable, and we spend lots of time playing and wrestling and snoozing together. I also love my big sister Capri, but she gets tired of me sometimes!
🐾 My Favorite Memory With My Family and/or Sibling so Far?
My favorite memory is the day my little brother, Tiki, came home. I’ll admit… I wasn’t so sure about him at first. He was tiny, full of energy, and seemed determined to follow me everywhere. I watched him carefully and wasn’t convinced I wanted a little shadow.
But before long, everything changed. We started playing together, chasing each other around the yard, sharing toys, and curling up near each other after a busy day. Now he’s my best friend, my wrestling partner, and my partner in crime. I still like to remind him who’s the big sister, but I secretly love having him around.
Looking back, I’m so glad Mom brought him home. Life is a lot more fun with my little brother by my side.

Hi, I’m Kona! I’m a professional cuddle expert and food connoisseur. I firmly believe that a 40-pound Australian Shepherd is the perfect lap dog. Personal space? Never heard of it.
I love my people with my whole heart and like to keep an eye on them by following them from room to room. I’m always up for an adventure, but I’m just as happy curling up for a nap after a good play session. Everyone tells me I’m sweet, gentle, and easygoing, and I do my best to live up to that reputation.
I’m also lucky to have a big sister, Capri, who helped show me the ropes when I joined the family. Now I get to return the favor as Tiki’s big sister. He keeps me on my toes, but I think I’m setting a pretty good example… most of the time. Between the three of us, there’s always someone ready to play, snuggle, or keep Mom company.
My life philosophy is simple: Stay close to your family, greet everyone with a wagging tail, welcome new siblings with an open heart, and never pass up the chance to snuggle.
🐾 What Were The Top Reasons You Chose SSH as Your Breeder?
Like most prospective puppy owners, I was looking for a breeder who prioritizes health, temperament, responsible breeding practices, and the overall well-being of their dogs. What sets SSH apart was seeing that the breeding dogs are truly part of the family, not just breeding animals. I appreciated that the puppies are raised in a home environment with regular exposure to both adults and children, giving them an excellent foundation for life.
Proximity to home was also important, making it easier to visit and build a relationship throughout the process. Most of all, I wanted a breeder who genuinely cares about producing well-adjusted family companions, and that was evident from the start. After bringing Kona home and experiencing her wonderful experience firsthand, choosing SSH again for Tiki was an easy decision.
