"Nugget"
FDR Golden Nugget of SSH
Red Merle Toy, one golden brown eye, one blue marbled eye.
Nugget was adopted 100% for her personality. She came from a gorgeous litter with amazing parents and full-panel clear genetics. I could have adopted her sister (who was great), but Nugget's personality stole the show. I was "all in" from the moment I met her!!
She is smart as a whip! LOVES to train, and has become the center of attention on SSH's Instagram page. The only "downfall" is whenever mom grabs her phone and props it up, Nugget comes RUNNING- LOL- ready to learn more tricks. I guess some dogs go crazy when you put on your shoes for a walk. Nugget does that with the camera. HAHAHA
Her BFFs here at Sunset Hill are Moxie (and mom). She is pretty sure she is a big dog and has plans to do EVERYTHING they do, too.
Nugget is currently the "About the town role model" for the rest of the puppies. Denise, who works here at SSH as our official Puppy Snuggler, takes Nugget on a tandem leash with other pups each week. She is also working on Obedience and Canine Good Citizen.
She comes from a long line of well-built TOY Aussies on the petite side, ranging from 10-18 pounds.
We expect Nugget to stay around the 13 lb range and 11-12" in hieght.
"Nellie"

The puppy that took forever to name because she has a million nicknames: Sassy Britches, Nanosecond (because she looks like Nan), Shorty, Fudgy Face (because it looks like she secretly ate fudge and forgot to wipe off the evidence). Well, Nellie just stuck, but she answers to Fudgy, too. What is not to love about her! Sweet, fun, and pint-sized. She and Nugget have joined SSH to give our future a more consistent line of smaller Aussies that fit in your lap and are easy to carry.
Her BFFs here at Sunset Hill are Nugget & Star. I think they are starting an elite group- The Short Girl's Club. Haha! She has a "Peak Performer" personality: social, bubbly, never met a stranger, and smart as a whip!
She is currently working on her leash skills and obedience, and loves playdates at Miss Denise's house with her dogs, Lola & Piper!!!
She comes from a long line of well-built toy Aussies, short, thick, but small- weighing 12-18 pounds. She looks just like her dad, Mr Shorty, and her brother, Marshall. Her mom, Pumpkin, looks just like our Nugget. So you know cuteness will abound!!!
"Biscuit"

Daughter to Moxie, and she truly is just like her momma. Actually, all of Moxie's pups are like that; that is why I am keeping one!
Her BFFs here at Sunset Hill are Nugget & Star. She has a "best bud" personality at the higher end, close to Peak Performer. She loves to learn and will do anything you ask. Like her momma, she is sweet, affectionate, and observant.
She is currently working on visiting all the places in our town, Obedience work, and foundations for Canine Good Citizen.
She comes from Moxie and Rumble (both Mini Aussies) and looks just like her grandpa, Tiny, just bigger. We expect Biscuit to be a mid-sized mini; she is currently 1/2" shy of her mom.
"Cinder"
Too Hot to Handle at SSH
Red Merle Mini, 1 blue eye, 1 caramel eye
She is Biscuit's half-sister; people can't tell them apart in photos of their faces. Here's the trick- their eyes. Cinder has one caramel eye and one blue, while Biscuit's caramel eye has an icy blue patch. Their bodies are very different patchwork of merle. Cinder has classic taupe and chocolate colored red merle with super dark copper, while Biscuit has very light merle with multicolored patches- think cookie dough ice cream.
Her BFF here at Sunset Hill is Stormy. She has a "best bud" personality at the higher end, close to Peak Performer- just like her sister. She loves to learn and will do anything you ask. She is sweet, affectionate, and observant.
She is currently working on visiting all the places in our town, Obedience work, and foundations for Canine Good Citizen.
Her dad, Rumble, is a mini, and her mom, Jolene, is a well-built toy, with mini parents. We expect Cinder to be a smaller mini.
"Stormy"
Stealing Thunder at SSH
Dark Blue Merle Mini, 2 blue eyes
I have been waiting for my "next Star," and it only took me 5 years. I know I should have held back a star girl, but I didn't early on, and each time one was born that fit my wishes, it was a boy. Go figure.
Stormy is so chill and confident at the same time. She is at the "lower" end of the Best Bud category, hovering on the line to Calm Companion. Unbothered by most things I have to train puppies to love, she just keeps rolling with it.
She has ridiculously deep, dark copper markings, bold merle patterning, minimal white, and thick bone, just like the rest of her family tree, so we are confident she will pass it on!!!
She has already started her training and laid the foundation for Canine Good Citizen. She's a natural!
We expect Stormy to be a mini. Her mom is a mini, and her dad is a larger, thick-bodied toy.
